Privacy Policy

The short version

Bank Compass does not require an account, does not have a login, and does not store any database of personal information about visitors. As of this writing, the site uses only cookieless, aggregate analytics. It does not yet run advertising — see "Advertising" below for what changes when it does.

What we currently collect

Bank Compass uses Vercel Web Analytics, a cookieless, aggregate analytics service. It does not use cookies or browser storage, does not track you across sites, and does not build an individual profile of you — it reports aggregate counts (like page views) that cannot be tied back to you personally. Because it is cookieless and non-identifying, it runs without requiring consent.

We do not operate user accounts, do not ask you to submit personal information to use any tool on this site, and do not maintain a database of visitor data.

Advertising

Bank Compass intends to display Google AdSense advertising to support the site. As of this writing, advertising is not yet active. When it launches, a consent banner will appear before any advertising cookie or personalization script loads, giving you a clear choice to accept, reject, or manage cookie preferences — no non-essential script will load before you choose. This policy will be updated with the specific categories of data AdSense collects under consent, and a "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" mechanism will be provided if applicable under California law (CCPA/CPRA) or similar state laws, before ads go live.

What we don't do

  • We are not a bank or financial institution, and we do not collect or store bank account numbers, card numbers, or other nonpublic financial information about you. The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act's privacy requirements for financial institutions do not apply to Bank Compass for this reason.
  • We do not sell personal data to third parties for money.
  • We do not knowingly collect data from, or direct this site at, children under 13. Bank Compass is a general-audience site and is not subject to COPPA.

Your rights and how to exercise them

Depending on your state of residence, you may have rights over personal information collected about you — for example, under California's CCPA/CPRA, or similar laws in Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and other states. Because Bank Compass currently collects only non-identifying, aggregate analytics data, there is generally no personal data tied to you for us to access, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold information about you, or have a question about this policy, email victanweb@gmail.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We'll update this policy before advertising goes live, and whenever what we collect meaningfully changes. The "Last revised" date above reflects the most recent change.
